Lithuania: immerse yourself in the dunes in Nida

When we think about dunes, we think of desert, of long views of sands, such as in the Sahara or in the Namibian desert.

Well, while in Lithuania, I was surprised to discover the country holds the highest moving sand dunes in Europe: the Curonian Spit, a 98km long dune spit between Lithuania and Russia. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. The Nida and Parnidis dunes are beautiful !

So if you are in Europe, you don’t need to go very far… to enjoy beautiful nature. Judge by yourself !
